To add Casino to your group, you must friend it first.
Say "Friend" to the bot and it will respond, allowing it to add you to groups.
Use this command to check if the bot is online.
If it does not respond, you can check the status of Casino Bot here
Use these to pull up a list in the bot showing all of its commands with a short description.
"Help" will show you all the commands for group management tools, while "Casino help" will show games and other fun commmands.
With the "Set rules" command, every time someone joins the group the bot will send a message.
For example, "Set rules Hello" will make the bot say "Hello!" whenever someone joins.
If you want to see what the rules are currently set to, say "Rules"
Rules can be used with wildcards
NEW: media may now be used in rules, in combination with text rules (though the rules can be media only).
When media and text rules are both set, the media will always be sent first, then the text message.
See here for an example of how to use media rules.
With the Set leave command, every time someone leaves the group the bot will send a message of your choosing.
For example, "Set leave Goodbye!" will make the bot say "Goodbye!" whenever someone leaves the group.
If you want to see what the Leave message are currently set to, say "Leave message"
Leave message can be used with wildcards
If for some reason Casino isn't detecting you as admin, you can say "Admins" to see if you're on the list.
If you are not on the list when you should be, try adding someone to the group, this usually fixes the issue.
"Talkers" lists times when people last sent a message in the group.
"Activity" lists of times when people last read a message in the group.
The talkers list is used for removing people when they lurk, and if 48 mode is enabled, people at the bottom of the Talkers list get removed first.
Note that if a mod is used to hide when you read messages, such as Blue Kik, the activity list will not reveal those users.
"Triggers" shows a list of triggers and censors to have added to the bot.
"a -> b" adds a command so when someone says "a" the bot will respond with "b"
"a => b" adds a command so when someone says "a" the bot will respond with "b" (admin only version)
"a => media" prompts you to send media in the chat to be added as a command.
"Triggers" shows a list of triggers and censors to have added to the bot.
"Delete a" deletes a trigger or censor of "a" if it is set. Only admins can delete admin triggers or censors.
"Delete all" deletes all triggers and censors. Be careful when using this.
"Delete all expired" deletes all expired media commands.
The main difference between the admin only version and normal version is that only admins can add or delete admin triggers, while normal triggers can be added by anyone.
Text based triggers support custom Kik emotes! see example here
Text based triggers can also be used with wildcards
"a +> b" adds a command so when someone says "a" the bot will respond with "b" (admin only version)
"a +> media" prompts you to send media in the chat to be added as a command.
Use the multi response "+>" command when you want to have multiple responses for the same trigger.
To delete a multi response trigger, use "Delete a" replacing "a" with the command name.
"pizza *> I love pizza" adds a command so when someone uses the word "pizza" anywhere in the message, the bot will respond with "I love pizza"
"pizza *> media" prompts you to send media in the chat to be added as a command.
Use the "contains" operator "*>" when you want to have the bot respond when the word or phrase is used anywhere in the message.
To delete a contains trigger, use "Delete a" replacing "a" with the command name.
Additional notes:
"Wildcard help" lists wildcards you can use in the app.
Wildcards can be used as substitutions inside triggers and are included inside brackets {}.
They are replaced based on what user and group triggered them.
Here are the supported substitutions and what they do:
Note that multiple substitutions may be combined in a single response.
"Cap space" lists the command description, and its current setting. It is off by default.
"Cap space on" enables 48 mode, removing the member on the bottom of the Talkers list.
"Cap space 98" enables 48 mode, removing the member on the bottom of the Talkers list when the group has more than 98 members. Use this if you have a 100 slot group.
"Cap space off" disables 48 mode.
This command is useful for automatically removing the most inactive member, always keeping more room in your group to keep it active.
Note that if you just added Casino to your group, it may remove active members because it can't see the chat history. It's recommended to wait a couple days before enabling this.
Also, the cap can be set from any number from 2-99 using the "Cap space [number]" command replacing [number] with the member cap you want to set.
"Perms" lists each permissions' descriptions, and displays the current level set.
"Perms 1" (Default) enables all non-admin commands to be used in the group, including adding or deleting normal triggers (->)
"Perms 2" disables all commands for non admins in the group unless they say a trigger that is set.
"Perms 3" disables all commands for non admins in the group entirely, including triggers.
Note that each permission level does not affect the game commands. To disable those, use "Casino disable" which is also found below.
"Anti annoy enable" enables anti annoy.
"Anti annoy disable" disables anti annoy.
Anti annoy is a useful command that does a few things:
- Kicks users when they spam (send lots of message quickly)
- Kicks users who join with no profile picture
- Kicks users who join without being added and lurk (do not send a message) for 5 minutes.
- Kicks users with modded timestamps on messages (when the message says it was sent way ahead or behind)
The lurk time is now customizable below using "Anti lurk", and will override the default lurk time of 5 minutes if set.
"Anti lurk" shows an explanation and the current anti lurk setting.
"Anti lurk 5" removes users when join the group without being added and do not send a message for 5 minutes.
"Anti lurk disable" disables anti lurk, and users will not be removed if they join and do not talk.
Anti lurk removes users who join and lurk (do not talk) for a set amount of minutes. Currently this can be set from 1 to 60 minutes.
This command can be useful for removing bots as well as only keeping members who actually want to participate in the group.
Note that if this command is set, it will override the default lurk time of 5 minutes when Anti Annoy is enabled.
"Lock" removes new users upon joining the group.
"Lock Sorry we are closed"removes new users upon joining the group, and sends "Sorry we are closed" when removing them.
"Lock duration 15m" locks the group for 15 minutes and then unlocks it
"Lock duration 12h" locks the group for 12 hours and then unlocks it
"Unlock" allows people to join the group again.
Locking the group can be useful for when you want to restructure a group or are facing a lot of trolls.
"Chat theme" lists all available Kik themes you can use.
"Chat theme (name)" changes the theme to the theme name you picked. To list the theme names, say "Theme"
"Chat theme remove" resets the chat theme to the default theme.
"Disallow hacks" (default setting) bans users using harmful exploits to damage your group.
"Disallow all hacks" removes / bans users for all exploits (including special non harmful messages).
"Allow hacks" allows all hacks in the group (not recommended).
This command is extremely useful for keeping malicious users at bay, as Casino has the best hack protection and they know they will be removed.
Note that while Casino will ban for using hacks in the group, it cannot prevent hacks from affecting the app after they were already sent.
If your account starts not working properly or missing messages after it was detected, you may be bricked. You can use the Unbrick service I made, found here
"Disallow noobs 10" removes all accounts that join that have under 10 days on Kik.
"Allow noobs" allows all accounts regardless of their days on Kik.
This command can be very useful for keeping out bots and troll accounts. If you want to remove all accounts currently in the group, use the "Remove noobs" command below.
Also, keep in mind the minimum days can be to set to anything from 2 and upward, it doesn't have to be 10.
"Disallow NSFW" removes new joiners that are detected to have an NSFW profile pic or background pic.
"Allow NSFW" disables NSFW pic detection
Since Kik does not filter nudity in profile pictures anymore, this can be useful for removing those who use them. It can also help with bot detection.
Note: this may have false positives. If so you can report them here
"Disallow Ads" enables advertisment detection.
"Allow Ads" disables advertisement detection
When enabled, this will remove the following types of advertisements if they are sent in a text or a user joins with one in their name:
"Remove bots" removes all accounts currently in the group that are suspected to be spam (thot) bots.
This command is useful if you're adding Casino to a group swarmed with bots (it can often remove dozens at once).
No detection is 100% accurate. If Casino missed some that seem obvious to you, please report it.
"Remove empty pics" removes all accounts currently in the group that do not have a profile pic.
This command is useful for clearing out inactive users / dead accounts.
"Forward" starts the forward timer. Send the media to the bot username provided in a private message (NOT in the group itself) and it will instantly forward that media into the group chat, getting around the 12 hour media restrictions.
This command is useful if you just joined a group and you'd like to participate by sending media, but you're restricted from doing so under 12 hour rule.
Note for admins: if you want to block non-admins from using the forward feature, say "Perms 2"
"Blacklist" shows help command
"Blacklist list" shows the people on the blacklist. The number in brackets is used for the "Unblacklist [number] command
"Blacklist last" blacklists the last user that left, was removed, banned or unbanned
"Blacklist [JID or username]" blacklists the specified JID or username
"Unblacklist last" removes the blacklist from the last user that was added to the blacklist
"Unblacklist [JID or username]" removes the JID or username from the blacklist
"Unblacklist [number]" removes the blacklist using the number you get from the "Blacklist list" command
"Unblacklist all" clears the blacklist. Consider making a backup before using this
Blacklisting prevents the user from joining the group either directly or with an invite, and blocks them from being added to the group.
This can be useful to preemptively prevent users from joining your group, and is also useful for keeping a large ban list, as Kik caps the ban list at 100.
Casino will not be fooled by people changing any of their profile information to try to get around the blacklist.
Casino Rank displays the point totals of each group member.
Leaderboard displays a leaderboard of the most active groups, and the rank of the group you are in. The group leaderboard is ranked by the total points of each group.
Users gain points by actively participating in the chat. Text is 1 point and media is 2 points, but this can be changed at any time.
Some notes:
"Video Elektronomia - Sky High" searches on YouTube for the first result (just as if you typed it into the search bar) and sends the video in the chat.
"Video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TW9d8vYrVFQ" searches on YouTube for the video matching the exact URL, and sends the video in the chat.
"Song Elektronomia - Sky High" searches on YouTube for the first result (just as if you typed it into the search bar), and sends the video to the chat in audio only mode.
"Song https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TW9d8vYrVFQ" searches on YouTube for the video matching the exact URL, and sends the video in the chat in audio only mode.
NEW: you can now select a specific segment of a video. This is useful for creating "clips" or extracting a song from a compilation.
To clip a video and only return the segment you want, use something like "Song https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TW9d8vYrVFQ 1:24 to 2:10" and Casino will send back that specific segment.
More segment examples:
Using a URL is recommended over a search term, since you always will get the exact video that you want to see, and it will be faster.
Please note that videos above 5 minutes or so may have decreased audio or video quality. This unfortunately is not something I can control, since Kik limits video file sizes. If you have a long song, it's best to use the Song command instead, as it strips the video down to a still frame. This is useful to get the highest possible audio quality while staying under Kik's file upload limits so you can enjoy the song.
Note for admins: if you want to block non-admins from using this feature, say "Perms 2"
"Remove last 5" removes the 5 people on the bottom of the Talkers list.
This command allows you to quickly remove inactive members from your group, creating more space for active members.
This will save you time as well as breathe new life into the group.
Note that if you just added Casino to the group, the talkers list may remove normally active members as it cannot see past history. It's good practice to wait a couple days before using this.
Also, keep in mind the number can be from 1-25, not just 5.
"Auto Add" enables or disables the feature
This command displays the accounts username automatically when joining the group.
"Censor bad word" if someone says "bad word" they are removed
"Delete bad word" removes "bad word" from the censored list.
Censor is used for removing someone if their text message contains the censored word or phrase.
Be careful with what you censor; Something too broad may remove a lot of people.
The censored list is also checked against screen names of new joiners.
"Casino backup" creates a backup of all your groups data, including settings, and all triggers.
"Casino import" shows information of your last backup.
"Casino import all" imports all the backup data.
Please note the backup will override all the current groups settings, so be careful when using this command.
"Casino enable" enables games for your group. By default this is enabled.
"Casino disable" disables games for your group (including admins).
If you dont want people to play games in your group or people playing is spamming the chat, you can disable it with this command.
Note that the games are not affected by the "Perms" levels, so if you want the games to be disabled you have to use this command.
"Casino leave" makes Casino bot leave the group.
If you no longer want to use Casino in your group or want to swap bots, use this command and it will leave the group.
This is preferred to removing it directly, as this will ensure that a backup is created for your group.
"Donate" shows how you can donate to the bot to help with the development and costs.
"Group JID" shows the group JID.
"My JID" shows your personal JID.
"Ping Kik" shows the latency between the bot and Kik's servers.
"Ban list" shows the ban list of the group.
"Casino wipe" wipes the chat. May only be done once per group every 15 minutes.
"Urban spongebob" searches for "spongebob" on Urban Dictionary
"Define apple" searches for "apple" on a real English dictionary
"48 ban (JID here)" bans the JID a few times causing them not to be able to join public groups for 48 hours.
"48 ban last" bans the last member that left / was removed / was banned / was unbanned a few times causing them not to be able to join public groups for 48 hours.
So what exactly is a JID?
In short it's a Jabber ID representing you on Kik that people use to message you, and makes Kik function in the server backend.
If you're not really into advanced techo-babble or code, don't worry, it's not very important anyway. The JID commands are meant for advanced users anyway and aren't really that important.
If you want to access people's JIDs to use these commands, you must use Blue Kik (Android only) which allows you to copy people's JIDs by clicking on their profile.
You can download Blue Kik (my personal mod and first project) here
